The Great South League morphed from the Georgia Collegiate League. The Georgia Collegiate League was formed in the fall of 2005 by the state-wide Georgia Dugout Club, an organization which promotes high school and college baseball within the State of Georgia. Recognizing the demand to play high-quality wood-bat summer baseball in the South led to the formation of the league and its inaugural 2006 season. The GSL has expanded to 12 Teams for the 2008 summer season including teams in Florida and Alabama.
The league is recruiting players and coaches nationwide for the 2008 summer season. Interested players and coaches should e mail the league at greatsouthleague@yahoo.com . Please click on the "online registration" for information to send us. A representative of the league will make contact after the information is received.
