Seth Weston dominates for six innings. The righty from St.Rose picked up his second win of the season, allowing one run over six innings, walking no one and striking out eight. The Nationals offense was quiet for three innings before Bobby Vasquez tripled to start the fourth. John Hennecken doubled him home on the next pitch, and then scored on a Robert Paccione sac fly to put Augusta up 2-0. The Nationals put up 3 more runs in the fifth on doubles from Damon McCormack and Josh Vining. J.C. Huffman walked to force in a sixth run in the seventh. Mentium scratched out four runs in the seventh and eighth, but their rally was cut short by a scoreless ninth from Ben Dukes, who picked up his first save. |
