The Great South League has a special player/coach opportunity for graduating college seniors who have not been drafted and/or have used up their college eligibility within the past year. These "Player/Coaches" will be allowed a normal roster spot on GSL team rosters and be permitted to play the entire season. The purpose of this position is to give the "Player/Coach" a final chance to ready himself for professional baseball by playing a final season of College wood bat baseball. This experience will help each team with additional coaching and create better competition for all players.

The following 2009 Great South League Player/Coaches have signed pro contracts for the upcoming season. This is not a complete list and the league would like to update these names with additional player/coaches that have signed pro contracts as they become aware of them.
